It’s almost Christmas and most of us take a day or two off the bike before enjoying working off any festive excess on the bike in the coming weeks.
But for most of us cycling is never far from our thoughts, so we have gift vouchers for the cyclists in your life. There’s also news on the Elite category and a new Junior race.
There’s a lot to think about in the the run up to Christmas so you can be forgiven if you’ve forgotten a gift for someone important. But fear not! You can buy them a Gralloch gift voucher!
This year’s voucher have three values.
You can use the £25 and £50 vouchers towards an entry and the £75 one will currently cover the full value of an entry!
For the first time The Gralloch will feature a Junior race for both men and women.
It’s not part of the TREK UCI Gravel World Series and racers will not be able to qualify for the World Championships, but they will start from their own pens, racing the same course and distance as the adults.
To qualify, riders must be at least 16 on the day of the event and not older than 18 on 31st December 2024.

You may already have read that all TREK UCI Gravel World Series races will have an Elite category at the front of each of the men’s and women’s races.
If you’re thinking of starting in the Elite category be aware that Elite racers can ONLY qualify for the elite category at the UCI Gravel World Championships.
The majority of those in the Elite race are expected to be professional riders, so, if qualification for the World Championships is a priority for you think about the riders you’ll have to beat. It might be better to choose your age group race where you’ll race against riders of a similar ability.
The other thing you’ll need is a Race Licence. To qualify for the Elite category you will need an Race Licence with a UCI ID number. If you’re on a UCI Registered team you must register in the Elite category.
