The Gralloch 2024 is go!

Yep, for us in the organisation The Gralloch 2024 began almost as soon as the gantry was down after the last edition in May. But while it’s not been too hectic so far, with six months to go we’ve picked up the pace! Our team recently headed back to Gatehouse of Fleet with a number of jobs on their list.

The first of those was a route check. It’s always good to get out on the trails, not only is it a beautiful pace to be, but also moves are afoot for a possible change to the route which should hopefully make everyone’s race even better! More of that in the coming months!

With the expected vast increase in number of riders, we are offering camping for the 2024 race. So while in town our team inspected the campsite location. Located just on the edge of the town (a 2 minute ride for the finish line) this site offer spectacular views of the Fleet Valley and surrounding hills. Pitches are already selling fast, so get in there quickly as places are limited! You can book your camping here.

With that done it was time to meet some members of the local community to update them on the latest developments. Further community engagement work is planned for later this year. We are always amazed and hugely grateful to the the people of Gatehouse of Fleet who allow us - and you - to take over their town for a weekend and celebrate this festival of gravel cycling!

Finally, we headed to the newly opened Iron Brew Café for coffee and a slab of cake. It’s a great place and their position right on the start and finish line puts them in prime position on race day! Make sure to check them out on your next visit to Gatehouse of Fleet.
