The Red Bull Flying 400 Is Coming to The Gralloch
There is a moment on the route back towards Gatehouse where the Big Water of Fleet Viaduct rises out of the Galloway landscape like something from another century. Nineteen arches of granite, 300 metres long, sitting high above the valley floor. In 2026, that stretch becomes something else entirely.
Introducing the Red Bull Flying 400: a flat-out timed sprint segment, live at The Gralloch for the first time.

The segment runs on the UCI Gravel World Series Race route on Saturday and on both Sportive routes on Sunday. Every rider aged 18 and over will receive a time. No splits, no tactics, no sitting in. Just 400 metres and whatever you have left in your legs.
The fastest riders in each age group across both the UCI race and the Sportives can expect spot prizes on the day. And every rider who registers a time through the segment will be entered into a draw for one of ten free entries to The Gralloch 2027.
The Red Bull Flying 400 brings a new focal point to the route: a moment of full commitment in the middle of a long day in the saddle, at one of the most distinctive locations on the course.

It does not matter where you are in the field when you hit that segment. For 400 metres, the race resets.
Full route details and a precise location map will be published soon.
The Gralloch takes place 15–17 May 2026 in Gatehouse of Fleet, Galloway. UCI Gravel World Series Race, Sportive and Ultra entries are open now
