The Gralloch Community Fund will back the people and projects that keep this region moving.
The Gralloch was built here. The roads, the forest, and the welcome all belong to Galloway, and the event works only because of the people who live and work here.
The Gralloch Community Fund builds on the support The Gralloch already gives back to the region. It will fund grassroots initiatives and projects that improve health and wellbeing and create more opportunities for sport across the region: a new club session, a walking group, kit for a school team, a programme that helps someone take their first step back into activity.
If your project makes Galloway healthier and more active, we want to hear about it.
What happens next
First projects. 2027.
The Gralloch Community Fund has just been established. Over the coming months, we’ll be reviewing submissions and selecting the first projects to support.
From 2027, we’ll share updates here: the projects we’ve backed, the people behind them, and the difference they’re making across the region. Every one will be rooted in Galloway.

Have a project worth backing?
We’re looking for people, projects and initiatives that make a real difference to health, wellbeing and sport in the region. Whether you’re part of an established organisation, starting something new, or an individual with a clear goal, if it gets more people active or supports their wellbeing, we’d like to hear from you.
- Health and wellbeing initiatives, physical and mental
- Grassroots sport and activity programmes
- Projects that widen access to sport for underrepresented groups
- Equipment, facilities or training that help local clubs and groups grow
- Youth and school activity programmes
- Individuals pursuing sporting or wellbeing goals, from coaching qualifications to competition costs
Individuals, community groups, sports clubs, schools, charities and social enterprises based in the Galloway region and the areas surrounding The Gralloch routes. Priority will be given to projects in Gatehouse of Fleet and the communities the event routes pass directly through.
